Salve!

Oggi è 25 giugno, anniversario della morte del re del pop Michael Jackson.

Michael ha dato davvero un enorme contributo nell’industria musicale, oltre ad essere stato un grande pioniere per gli artisti della nostra generazione nonostante difficilmente credo che riuscirebbero ad eguagliarlo.

Dalla morte di Jackson tutti sembrano avere la necessità costante di cercare un suo sostituto, di cui i candidati sono in una lunghissima lista (da Bieber a Timberlake o Ne-yo …) e fra questi, molti sostengono che chi si avvicina di più al re del pop sia il cantante hawaiano Bruno Mars.

Personalmente non credo molto in queste convinzioni, lo stile e il talento ci sono, ma per raggiungere il livello di Michael deve farne di strada ma staremo a vedere.
Ma andiamo a vedere l’artista:

Conosciuto all’anagrafe come Peter Gene Hernandez  Bruno nasce a Honolululu nel 1985.

 e crescendo nelle paradisiache isole hawaiane ascolta musica di ogni genere, aiutandolo in seguito a diventare un artista versatile, anche se la sua musica è influenzata da appunto Michael Jackson e Elvis Presley. Inoltre Mars a soli 4 anni ha fatto un’apparizione come piccolo Elvis nel film Mi gioco la moglie a Las Vegas.

Subito dopo il diploma si trasferisce in Cali, a Los Angeles per cercare fortuna ma l’inizio non è facile : firmando con la Motown Records (la stessa di Michael) non concludendo però nulla . Dopo anni duri fatti di rifiuti e delusioni il giovane entra a far parte di un team di produzione, i The Smeezingtons,  insieme a Philiph Lawrence e Ari Levine ; il trio produce e scrive canzoni per artisti come Flo Rida  Brandy Alexandra Burke e molti altri.

Il giovane Bruno collabora anche con Travei  Mccoy per Bilionaire, ma la grande occasiona arriva con la collaborazione col rapper B.o.B per Nothin on you e da qui le cose slittano: sottocontratto con l’Elektra Records nell’ottobre 2011 pubblica dapprima un Ep, It’s better if you don’t under stand e successivamente un album Doo Wop & Hooligans.Il successo dell’album gli permette ben 7 nominations ai Grammy 2012 certo non male come inizio!

Artista apprezzato e vincitore grammy, un anno dopo nell’ottobre

2012 pubblica un secondo album chiamato Unorthodox Jukebox che gli conferisce altre nomination e premiazione ai Grammy del 2013.

Vedremo come se la caverà Bruno, per ora sembra avere le carte in regola per una carriera fluente, noi ci vediamo la settimana prossima ciao ragazze!
